The MVP District Initiative requires any in school volunteer who will be solely/directly responsible for SMSD students or anyone who accompanies students on a field trip to be MVP certified. This is a district requirement. The certification requires a 1.5 hour training session and a background check. Screening will be renewed every 5 years.
